Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), an operational subsidiary of Indian government-run Coal India Limited (CIL), achieved coking coal production of 2.49 million mt in September 2026, a rise of 21.5 percent year on year, according to a company statement on Friday, October 2.
The company reported output from open cast mines at 2.55 million mt, a rise of 24.4 percent, while underground mining yielded 0.02 million mt, a decline of 76.6 percent, both year on year.
