Heavy truck sales in China down 4.4 percent in June

In June this year, heavy truck sales in China are estimated to have totaled 74,000 units, up 34 percent year on year, while down 4.4 percent month on month, according to the data issued by cvworld.cn, a Chinese auto industry information service provider.

Heavy truck sales in China are estimated to have reached 476,000 units in the first six months this year, up 25.0 percent year on year.    

Some heavy truck producers in China tried to achieve their sales targets for the first six months, exerting a positive impact on sales in June, while sales to the domestic market indicated a year-on-year decline, constituting the first year-on-year decline since February this year. Meanwhile, heavy truck sales to the export market rose by over 50 percent in June.  

Heavy truck sales in July and August are expected to fall to the lowest levels in 2023, with continuing year-on-year rises and month-on-month declines, while sales may improve in September and October.
