Hansteel to supply plate for Wuhan Yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge

Hebei Province-based Chinese steel producer Handan Iron and Steel Co. (Hansteel), a subsidiary of Hebei Iron and Steel Group, has announced that it has won a contract to supply 2,150 mt of Q370QD bridge plate for the Wuhan Yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge project.
 
The order includes bridge plate in thicknesses of 24 mm, 32 mm and 50 mm, with the supply of 50 mm material for application in key weight-bearing parts of the bridge to account for 856 mt of the total.
 
The bridge in question is the eighth bridge over the Yangtze River in the city of Wuhan in Hubei Province. The total cost of the bridge is estimated at about RMB 9 billion ($1.424 billion).
