Sweden-based H2 Green Steel has announced that it has signed a green steel supply agreement with Swedish commercial vehicle manufacturer Scania to be used in the latter’s truck production.

The use of green steel by Scania will cut carbon emissions as about four tons of steel is used to manufacture a truck.

The green steel will be produced at H2 Green Steel’s Boden plant in northern Sweden in 2025 and will be delivered to Scania in 2027.

H2 Green Steel is advancing its green steel supply chain with such agreements. The company will also supply green steel to US-based Cargill Metals, as SteelOrbis previously reported.
