Sweden-based H2 Green Steel has announced that it has signed a seven-year agreement worth €1.5 billion with German automotive system supplier ZF to supply near-zero emissions steel as of 2026.

ZF annually processes around 2.5 million mt of steel and this agreement covers a significant share of its yearly steel volumes, in line with the company’s aim to become climate neutral by 2040.
