France’s steel product import value down 20.1 percent in Jan-May

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-May period this year France’s basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €4.91 billion, decreasing by 20.1 percent year on year.

In the given period, France imported €980.50 million of steel pipes and tubes - down 9.0 percent, €261.97 million of cold rolled steel bars - down by 7.1 percent, €411.61 million of cold rolled steel strip - dropping by 18.7 percent, €246,48 million of cold drawn wire - falling by 22.6 percent, and €1,12 billion of metal structures and parts - decreasing by 5.3 percent, all compared to the same period of last year.
