France’s steel product import value down 14.6 percent in Jan-Mar

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-March period this year France’s basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €2.98 billion, decreasing by 14.6 percent year on year.

In the given period, France imported €601.33 million of steel pipes and tubes - down 5.7 percent, €164.66 million of cold rolled steel bars - declining by 0.4 percent, €257.96 million of cold rolled steel strip - dropping by 16.3 percent, €157.92 million of cold drawn wire - falling by 9.7 percent, and €691.74 million of metal structures and parts - rising by 0.5 percent, all compared to the same period of last year.
