According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-June period this year France’s basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €6.02 billion, decreasing by 19.9 percent year on year.
In the given period, France imported €1.16 billion of steel pipes and tubes - down 10.4 percent, €312.96 million of cold rolled steel bars - down by 9.4 percent, €492.16 million of cold rolled steel strip - dropping by 19.3 percent, €304,44 million of cold drawn wire - falling by 22.3 percent, and €1,38 billion of metal structures and parts - decreasing by 6.6 percent, all compared to the same period of last year.
