France's steel product export value up 19 percent in January-May

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-May period of this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy exports amounted to a value of €3.3 billion, rising by 19 percent year on year.
 
During the period in question, France exported €501.25 million of steel pipes and tubes - down 11.8 percent, €219.08 million of cold rolled steel strip - up 16.5 percent, €125.75 million of cold drawn wire - up by 4.2 percent, €129.47 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 17.6 percent, and €210.16 million of metal structures and parts - down by 2.9 percent, all compared to the same period of 2016.
