France's manufacturing output in November last year increased by 2.3 percent month on month, after a 0.6 percent month-on-month fall in October, and was down 0.3 percent year on year, according to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE). In the September-November period, France’s manufacturing output indicated an increase of 0.6 percent compared to the previous quarter.
In November, France's production in manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment, increased by 3.1 percent compared to October, after a month-on-month decrease of 3.7 percent in October. In the September-November period, the country’s production in manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment, increased by 2.5 percent compared to the previous quarter.
On the other hand, in November production of France's motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers industry saw an increase of 3.5 percent on month-on-month basis after a 3.8 percent month-on-month rise recorded in the previous month, while the output of the domestic construction industry decreased by 0.3 percent month on month in the given month after an increase of two percent in October from September. In the September-November period, output of the motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers industry increased by 0.5 percent and output of the domestic construction industry rose by 0.9 percent, both quarter on quarter.
