Ezhou to eliminate 1 million mt of outdated crude steel capacity in 2012

The government of the city of Ezhou in China's Hubei Province has announced that in the current year it plans to eliminate 470,000 mt of outdated annual pig iron production capacity and 1 million mt of outdated annual crude steel output capacity.
 
The elimination of the capacities in question will include the closure of certain production capacities at WISCO Echeng Iron and Steel Co. and Furui Industries Co. before August 20 of the current year.
