European scrap index down eight points in July from June

According to European steel body European Confederation of Iron and Steel Industries (EUROFER), in July this year the scrap price index in Europe fell by eight points compared to June and rose by 70 points year on year, amounting to 324 points.

The EUROFER Scrap Price Index is referential price information based on bid and ask prices on the basis of the average price in euro per metric ton collected from major participants in Germany, France, Italy, Spain and the UK.
