Donetsk Electrometallurgical Plant’s crude steel output rises by 2.4 times in January-May

Ukrainian mini-mill Donetsk Electrometallurgical plant (DEMZ) produced 454,000 mt of crude steel in January-May of the current year, 2.43 times more than in the same period of last year.

During the period in question, DEMZ produced 462,000 mt of finished steel, up 156 percent compared to January-May 2010.

DEMZ can melt up to one million metric tons of steel a year.
