DOC determination on PC wire strand imported from Japan

The US Department of Commerce (DOC), on January 2, 2004 initiated sunset review on prestressed concrete (PC) wire strand imported from Japan. As previously reported by SteelOrbis, DOC determined to conduct an expedited 120-day, sunset review, after receiving adequate comments from domestic parties and inadequate response from respondent interested party. Likewise, US International Trade Commission (ITC) conducted a review to determine whether the revocation of the anti-dumping duty finding would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to US domestic industry. As a result of the reviews, both ITC and DOC determined that revocation of the anti-dumping duty order on prestressed concrete wire strand imported from Japan would be would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to US domestic industry.
