CSN to increase steel prices by 12.2 percent

Brazilian steelmaker Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN) will increase steel prices by 12.2 percent effective July 27, according to local newspaper Estadao.

The 12.2 percent price hike applies to the steelmaker’s finished steel products for the distribution chain. Zinc steel product prices will rise 10.75 percent, the media report said, adding that CSN has announced several price hikes this year while aiming to reduce debt and divest from non-core assets.
