Brazilian steelmaker Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN) has named a new chief financial officer (CFO), the company announced this week.

According to CSN, Marcelo Cunha Ribeiro is the company’s new CFO, as of September 12. Ribeiro holds a production engineering degree from the University of Sao Paulo (USP) and an MBA degree from Harvard Business School.

Previously, Ribeiro was vice president of finance at Restoque. He was also a board member at companies including Oi, Estacio and BR Malls.

CSN did not have a full-time CFO since May last year, when former executive Paulo Caffarelli left the position to take on a CEO role at state-owned bank Banco do Brasil.
