CSN extends $148 million debt with Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation

Brazilian steelmaker Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN) said late last week it has extended a $148 million debt with Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation. The debt, which was due on March 30, 2020, was extended for a three-year period, CSN said.

CSN also announced it has concluded a long-term iron ore supply contract with Swiss trader Glencore International AG. Glencore paid $500 million to get 22 million mt of iron ore delivered by CSN over a five-year period.
