CPCA: China’s passenger vehicle retail sales likely to amount to 1.85 million units in Aug

Passenger vehicle retail sales in China is expected to amount to 1.85 million units in August, decreasing by 1.3 percent year on year, while declining by 4.7 percent month on month, according to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).

The new energy passenger vehicle retail sales are expected to reach 700,000 units, increasing by 31.5 percent year on year, while up 9.2 percent month on month, with the penetration of NEV reaching 37.8 percent.
