CPCA: China’s passenger vehicle retail sales down 10% during June 1-11

Passenger vehicle retail sales in China amounted to 425,000 units in the June 1-11 period this year, down 10.0 percent year on year, while decreasing by 25.0 percent month on month, according to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).

In the current year up to June 11, passenger vehicle retail sales in China amounted to 8.057 million units, up 3.0 percent year on year.      

In the June 1-11 period, new energy passenger vehicle retail sales totaled 160,000 units, up 18.0 percent year on year, while decreasing by 4.0 percent month on month.      

In the current year up to June 11, new energy passenger vehicle retail sales reached 2.581 million units, up 39.0 percent year on year.   

Vehicle dealers in China are seeking to reach their half-year targets, which will exert a positive impact on vehicle sales in June.
