Passenger new energy vehicle (NEV) wholesale sales in China are estimated to have amounted to 740,000 units in June this year, up 10.0 percent month on month, while up 30.0 percent year on year, according to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).
In the January-June period this year, passenger NEV wholesale sales in China are estimated to have reached 3.53 million units, up 44.0 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, on July 3, China’s 20 millionth NEV rolled off a production line in Guangzhou. Fu Bingfeng, vice executive president of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), stated that it took China 15 years to achieve production of its first 10 million NEVs production, while it only took one year and five months to achieve production of the second 10 million NEVs.
