A Minas Gerais state court has suspended an injunction demanding Brazilian steelmaker Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN) pay rent and other expenses for residents near a dam that was alleged at risk, a media report from G1 said.

The same court had previously seized BRL 3 million ($742,380) in assets of CSN as a way to demand CSN to pay rent for residents near its Casa de Pedra dam, in the city of Congonhas, Minas Gerais state.

However, the court decision lifting the injunction did not mention the asset freeze; it remains unclear whether the money block was canceled or not.

A body of public prosecutors in Minas Gerais state said it will appeal the court’s decision.
