ChTPZ to supply 22,000 mt of LD pipes to Transneft in August

Russia-based steel pipe producer ChTPZ Group has announced that it will supply 22,000 mt of large diameter (LD) pipes to the Russian oil pipeline monopoly Transneft for repair and operational needs. The pipes will be shipped before the end of August.

The pipes with diameters of 820 mm, 1,020 mm, 1,220 mm and 1,420 mm with wall thickness of 9-17 mm are made of cold-resistant steel grade 56 K, and all have an external three-layer anticorrosion coating.

In 2014, ChTPZ plans to ship more than 215,000 mt of LD pipes to Transneft for repair and maintenance needs and for the construction of the Kuyumba-Tayshet oil pipeline.
