Russia-based steel pipe producer ChTPZ Group has announced that it has mastered a new grade of long pipes made of stainless chromium-nickel steel with a diameter of 20 mm, a wall thickness of two mm and a length of 18 meters to 20.3 meters. The new products are produced at the company’s subsidiary Pervouralsky Novotrubny Works (PNTZ).

ChTPZ stated that the development of a new product became possible due to the modernization of PNTZ, at which in 2016 the company commissioned a high-tech cold rolling mill and a pipe finishing line with a total investment of about RUB 200 million. Long-length stainless pipes are used mainly for manufacturing heat-exchange equipment in petrochemical engineering.
