ChTPZ supplies LD pipes for Kuyumba-Tayshet pipeline

Russia-based steel pipe producer ChTPZ Group has stated that in the first half of the current year it will supply 45,000 mt of large diameter (LD) pipes to the Russian oil pipeline monopoly Transneft for the construction of the main Kuyumba-Tayshet pipeline in Russia's Krasnoyarsk territory.

According to the company's statement, the amount of supply will be almost half of the pipes needed for the new oil pipeline. A total 92,000 mt of pipes are required for the pipeline. ChTPZ has already shipped to about 15,000 mt of pipes to Transneft.

According to Transneft's representative, the total cost of the oil pipeline construction may amount to RUB 96 billion ($2.87 billion). Its length will be about 700 km and it is expected to pump 15 million tons of oil per year.
