China’s scrap imports up 59.8 percent in January

In January this year, China’s imports of steel scrap amounted to 210,000 mt, increasing by 59.8 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities.

In the given period, China’s exports of steel scrap totaled 68 mt, down 4.4 percent year on year.
