China’s scrap exports amount to 128,539 mt in January-February

In February this year, China exported 51,518 mt of steel scrap, compared to zero scrap exports in February 2017, according to the monthly import and export data issued by the Chinese customs authorities. 

In the January-February period of this year, China exported 128,539 mt of scrap, compared to 68 mt in the same period last year.

Meanwhile, China imported 190,000 mt of scrap in February, down 30.7 percent year on year. In the January-February period this year, China imported 290,000 mt of scrap, down 40.2 percent year on year.
