China’s scrap exports amount to 331,807 mt in H1

In June this year, China exported 7,182 mt of steel scrap, down 96.4 percent year on year, according to the monthly import and export data issued by the Chinese customs authorities. 

In the January-June period of this year, China exported 331,807 mt of scrap, up 11.5 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, China imported 80,000 mt of scrap in June this year, down 56.7 percent year on year. In the January-June period, China's scrap imports totaled 860,000 mt, decreasing by 34.8 percent year on year.
