In July this year, China exported 1,639 mt of steel scrap, down 99.0 percent year on year, according to the monthly import and export data issued by the Chinese customs authorities.
In the January-July period of this year, China exported 333,114 mt of scrap, down 28.8 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, China imported 80,000 mt of scrap in July this year, down 46.2 percent year on year. In the January-July period, China's scrap imports totaled 940,000 mt, decreasing by 35.9 percent year on year.
