China’s coke output rises by two percent in January-April 2026

In the January-April period this year, China’s metallurgical coke output amounted to 167.41 million mt, up by two percent year on year, as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In the given period, China’s raw coal output amounted to 1.58 billion mt, decreasing by 0.1 percent year on year.

In April alone, China’s metallurgical coke and raw coal output totaled 41.53 million mt and 385.63 million mt, remaining stable and down by one percent year on year.
