China’s iron ore output up 1.9 percent in January-November

In the January-November period this year, China’s iron ore production amounted to 952.263 million mt, increasing by 1.9 percent year on year, according to China’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In November alone, China’s iron ore production totaled 81.152 million mt, decreasing by 9.3 percent year on year, while down 6.13 percent month on month.

Import iron ore prices moved up first in November, while edging down later, though they indicated a rebounding trend as of November 17. The highest level of $106/mt during the month was seen on November 5 and November 7, while the lowest level of $97/mt was observed on November 15-17.
