China’s coal output up 11 percent in Jan-Jun

In the January-June period this year, China’s raw coal output amounted to 2.194 billion mt, rising by 11.0 percent year on year, 0.6 percentage points faster compared to the increase recorded in the first five months this year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In June alone, China’s raw coal output totaled 379.31 million mt, up 15.3 percent year on year, 5.0 percentage points faster than the year-on-year rise in May.
