Xinjiang authorities issue newly-added mineral resource reserve figures

The Department of Land and Resources of China's Xinjiang autonomous region has stated that, within the scope of its mineral resource exploration project, in the past four years its newly-added proven reserves of coal, iron ore, lead-zinc ore and copper-nickel ore have reached 335.7 billion mt, 1.1 billion mt, 5.6 million mt and 1.16 million mt respectively.
 
The department stated that it has invested a total of RMB 7.472 billion ($1.18 billion) in the project in question.
