China’s coal output up 10.4 percent in Jan-May

In the January-May period this year, China’s raw coal output amounted to 1.81441 billion mt, rising by 10.4 percent year on year, 0.1 percentage points slower compared to the increase recorded in the first four months this year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In May alone, China’s raw coal output totaled 367.83 million mt, up 10.3 percent year on year, 0.4 percentage points slower than the year-on-year rise in April.
