According to Statistics Canada, total new motor vehicle sales in October totaled 167,892 units, reflecting a decrease of 11.9 percent month-on-month and an increase of 6.7 percent year-on-year. By value, Canadian vehicle sales in October totaled $6.92 billion, compared to $7.69 billion in September and $6.12 billion in October 2016.
Canadian sales of vehicles manufactured in North America totaled 124,480 units in October at a value of $5.23 billion, while sales of vehicles manufactured overseas totaled 43,412 units at a value of $1.68 billion.
