Canadian iron ore shipments down 32.2 percent in November

According to Natural Resources Canada, shipments of iron ore in November 2019 totaled 3,686,269 mt, a 32.2 percent decrease from October and a 5.5 percent decrease from November 2018. Of that total, 269,359 mt was shipped to Canadian customers, while 3,416,910 mt was exported.

Year-to-date, Canadian iron ore shipments totaled 48,873,080 mt as of November, up 6.5 percent from the same 11-month period of 2018.

Canadian iron ore stocks at the end of November totaled 6,517,707 mt, up 21.0 percent from October levels and up 31.4 percent from levels in November 2018.
