According to Statistics Canada, Canada produced 5,002,749 mt of iron ore concentrates in April 2026, down 1.5 percent from March 2026 and down 6.8 percent from April 2025.
Canadian iron ore producers shipped 3,237,317 mt of iron ore concentrates in April, down 6.1 percent from March and down 23.3 percent from April 2025.
Closing inventories of iron ore concentrates at Canadian producers totaled 7,139,490 mt in April, up 1.8 percent from March and down 33.1 percent from April 2025.
