According to Statistics Canada, Canada produced 5,176,223 mt of iron ore concentrates in May 2026, up 3.5 percent from April 2026 and down 14.8 percent from May 2025.
Canadian iron ore producers shipped 3,463,954 mt of iron ore concentrates in May, up 7 percent from April and down 29.4 percent from May 2025.
Closing inventories of iron ore concentrates at Canadian producers totaled 7,505,774 mt in May, up 5.1 percent from April and down 22.5 percent from May 2025.
