Canadian iron ore shipments down 20.6 percent in November

According to Natural Resources Canada, shipments of iron ore in November 2018 totaled 3,887,265 mt, a 20.6 percent decrease from October and a 1.4 percent decrease from November 2017. Of that total, 397,983 mt was shipped to Canadian customers, while 3,489,282 mt was exported.

Year-to-date iron ore shipments through November totaled 45,861,047 mt, up 15.9 percent from the same period of 2017.

Canadian iron ore stocks at the end of November totaled 4,958,904 mt, up 27.2 percent from October levels and up 36.3 percent from levels in November 2017.
