Canadian iron ore production up 14.3 percent in October

According to Statistics Canada, Canada produced 5,839,659 mt of iron ore concentrates in October, up 14.3 percent from September and up 13.6 percent from October 2021.

Canadian iron ore producers shipped 4,024,086 mt of iron ore concentrates in October, down 4.1 percent from September and up 6.2 percent from October 2021.

Closing inventories of iron ore concentrates at Canadian producers totaled 7,431,962 mt in October, compared to 7,536,551 mt in September and 4,501,281 mt in October 2021.
