Canadian iron ore production down 18.5 percent in June

According to Statistics Canada, Canada produced 4,924,409 mt of iron ore concentrates in June, down 18.5 percent from May but up 15.7 percent from June 2021.

Canadian iron ore producers shipped 3,425,789 mt of iron ore concentrates in June, up 23.2 percent from May and up 74.1 percent from June 2021.

Closing inventories of iron ore concentrates at Canadian producers totaled 8,390,515 mt in June, compared to 8,480,120 mt in May and 5,916,824 mt in June 2021.
