Brazil's motor vehicle output (excluding agricultural vehicles) in October this year increased by 16.6 percent from the previous month and by 9.6 percent year on year to 288,512 units, according to the Brazilian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association (Anfavea). Meanwhile, in the January-October period of 2019, the country's motor vehicle output (excluding agricultural vehicles) grew by 3.6 percent year on year to 2,547,022 units.
New motor vehicle registrations (excluding agricultural vehicles) in Brazil totaled 253,361 units in October this year, increasing 7.9 percent when compared to September and down 0.5 percent year on year. In the January-October period, the country's new motor vehicle registrations (excluding agricultural vehicles) increased by 8.7 percent year on year to 2,282.982 units.
Meanwhile, Brazil's motor vehicle exports in October (excluding agricultural vehicles) totaled 29,964 units, decreasing by 18.2 percent compared to the previous month and down 22.6 percent year on year. In the first ten months of the current year, Brazil's motor vehicle exports totaled 367,463 units, falling by 34.7 percent year on year.
