Brazilian wire rod exports increase in July

Wire rod exports from Brazil have reached 27,900 mt in July, against 25,100 mt in June, according to customs data.

The exports in July were from ArcelorMittal (24,100 mt at $854/mt), Gerdau (3,600 mt at $806/mt) and Simec (200 mt at 989$/mt), FOB conditions.

The destinations were the US (15,500 mt at $896/mt), South American countries (8,500 mt at $833mt), and the Dominican Republic (3,900 mt at $697/mt), FOB conditions.

Meanwhile, Brazil imported 20,100 mt of wire rod in July, against 16,000 mt in June.

The imports were from Asia (10,100 mt at $651/mt), Russia (9,000 mt at $584/mt) and Europe (1,000 mt at $1,061/mt), also FOB conditions.
