Brazilian civil construction activity in August rose to 47.8 points, from 46.7 points in August 2017, in a scale from zero to 100, in which values above 50 show growth, the country’s confederation of industries (CNI) said.
According to CNI’s data, local civil construction activity in August dropped from 48 points in July this year, on a month-on-month analysis.
The industry’s capacity utilization in August was 60 percent, up from 57 percent in August 2017, and up from 58 percent in July this year.
The indicator that measures the number of job positions in the Brazilian civil construction segment rose to 46.1 points in August this year from 45.8 points in August 2017. On a month-on-month basis, the same indicator declined from 46.2 points in July this year.
