Brazilian civil construction activity remains stable in February

Brazilian civil construction activity in February remained stable at 47.5 points, the same level as January, in a scale from zero to 100, in which values above 50 indicate growth, according to a report from the local confederation of industries (CNI). Brazilian civil construction activity in February rose from 44.3 points in February 2019.

According to CNI, the capacity utilization of the local civil construction sector in February reached 60 percent, stable from 60 percent in January 2020, but up from 56 percent in February 2019.

CNI said the indicator that measures the number of job positions in the sector slightly improved to 47.7 points in the second month of 2020, from 47.3 points in January, and from 42.9 points in February 2019.
