Brazilian civil construction activity down in September

Brazilian civil construction activity in September dropped to 45.7 points, from 46.4 points in September 2017, in a scale from zero to 100, in which values above 50 show growth, the nation’s confederation of industries (CNI) said.

CNI said Brazilian civil construction activity in September also declined from 47.8 points in August this year.

According to CNI, the industry’s capacity utilization in September was 61 percent, up from 58 percent in September 2017, and up from 60 percent in August this year.

The indicator that measures the number of job positions in the nation’s civil construction segment diminished to 45.1 points in September this year from 45.2 points in September 2017. It was also down from 46.1 points in August this year.
