BMZ delivers oil and gas pipes to Russia’s Rosneft

Up to April 1, 2010, Byelorussian Iron and Steel Works (BMZ) will deliver 1,000 mt of oil and gas pipes to Rosneft, the leading company in the Russian petroleum industry, to be used for the capital repairs of its oil wells, Belarusian news agency BelTA has reported.
 
The delivery of the pipes in question, of 73 mm diameter and of 5.5 mm wall thickness, is being carried out in four stages. The first batch of steel pipes totaling 200 mt was shipped in December 2009, the second batch also of 200 mt will be delivered by the end of January, while another two batches of 300 mt each is planned to be shipped in February and March.
 
The pipes will be manufactured at BMZ's pipe rolling plant, commissioned in 2007. This is the first big contract for oil and gas pipe supply received by BMZ from Rosneft.
