Belarus increases crude steel production by 2.2 percent in Jan-May

According to data released by the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, in the first five months of the current year Belarus increased metallurgical production by 0.5 percent compared to the same period of last year to BYR 15.844 trillion ($1.9 billion) .

In particular, in the given period crude steel production in Belarus increased by 2.2 percent to 1.188 million mt, the output of rolled steel went up by 3.2 percent to 1.08 million mt, while production of steel pipes rose by six percent to 99,700 mt, all on year-on-year basis.
