Baosteel posts net profit of RMB 5.79 billion for 2014

Shanghai-based Chinese steelmaker Baoshan Iron and Steel Co. Ltd (Baosteel) has issued its financial report for 2014, announcing an operating revenue of RMB 187.414 billion ($29.94 billion), down 1.2 percent, and a net profit of RMB 5.792 billion ($0.925 billion), decreasing by 0.45 percent, both year on year.

As for 2015, Baosteel plans to produce 23.08 million mt of pig iron, 23.60 million mt of crude steel and 22.96 million mt of finished steel, while it is targeting an operating revenue of RMB 194 billion ($30.99 billion).
