Automotive sales in Turkey up 170 percent in November from October

In November this year, sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Turkey decreased by 42.29 percent year on year and were up by 170 percent month on month to 58,204 units, according to the statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Distributors Association (ODD). In the given month, domestic sales of passenger cars in Turkey declined by 39.17 percent year on year and rose by 175 percent month on month to 46,204 units, while sales of light commercial vehicles dropped by 51.81 percent year on year and increased by 152 percent month on month to 12,000 units.

Meanwhile, in the January-November period of this year domestic sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles saw a decrease of 33.75 percent year on year, amounting to 543,231 units. In the given period, domestic sales of passenger cars in the country were down by 31.71 percent to 425,478 units, while sales of light commercial vehicles fell by 40.19 percent to 117,753 units, both on year-on-year basis.
