Automotive sales in Turkey down 28.5 percent in January-November

In November this year, sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Turkey amounted to 58,176 units, remaining almost stable on year-on-year basis, according to the statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Distributors Association (ODD). In the given month, domestic sales of passenger cars in Turkey rose by 3.5 percent year on year to 47,803 units, while sales of light commercial vehicles decreased by 13.6 percent year on year to 10,373 units.

Meanwhile, in the January-November period of this year, domestic sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles saw a decrease of 28.5 percent year on year, amounting to 388,560 units. In this period, domestic sales of passenger cars in the country were down by 25.6 percent to 316,427 units, while sales of light commercial vehicles fell by 38.7 percent to 72,133 units, both on year-on-year basis.
